Tree Reports

Andy Portlock Tree Specialists Ltd are members of the Consulting Arborists Society, the Arboricultural Association and the International Society of Arboriculture. We offer tree reports for mortgage and insurance purposes. This involves a site visit to inspect the tree/s looking for signs of instability, pests, diseases, defects, cavities and any other indication that the tree may be problematic to the property. The report provided, based on our findings, includes a sketch plan showing the trees’ locations together with digital photographs. Recommendations are given for any tree work needed including timescales.

The report provided can be forwarded to mortgage lenders and insurance companies.

Surveys

We can provide arboricultural surveys for development sites. During the inspection visit, we number tag the trees for identification on the plans provided. Alternatively, we can arrange for a topographical survey to be undertaken including tree locations and crown spreads.

Our surveys conform to BS5837:2005. Not only do they provide basic information such as species and dimensions, they also give calculations of tree root protection areas, tree quality rating and estimated safe useful life expectancy.

The survey provided is suitable for submission as part of a planning application.

All our tree reports and surveys are unbiased and based on sound arboricultural practise.

We hold professional indemnity insurance with £500,000 cover (copy available on request).
